Random Game Review - Super Mario All Stars

It would only be fitting for my FIRST EVER GAME REVIEW, to review the first game I ever played!

SUPER MARIO ALL STARS
Publisher : Nintendo
Released : December 1993
Platform : SNES

After being given a SNES by a friend of my mums, I was introduced into the magical world of Super Mario Bros. and with Super Mario All Stars containing Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 AND 3 as well as The Lost Levels I was spoilt for choice, my childhood was set! I was unable to draw my 6 year old eyes away from my tv as I engrossed in epic battles with Birdo as she spat an unrelenting barrage of eggs at me.

The graphics, which were updated for each game in the compilation release, were jaw dropping. A variety of magical colours and scenery made every level refreshing and exciting, coupled with Koji Kondo's genius upbeat music, Super Mario All Stars was always immersive.

I still strongly remember playing through this game until what seemed like the early hours of the morning, (but in reality was probably around 9pm) and to this day, get urges to relive the simple yet revolutionary games that are Super Mario Bros. So from time to time, I can't resist blowing the dust off my SNES and setting it back up to replay a timeless classic of a title. Super Mario All Stars.

I suggest picking up the rerelease on Wii if you've never played the games.
A Retro Gem!  9/10
